In this 15 hour workshop, Lori Sweat will guide students through her practical approach for drawing and painting in watercolor, using photo reference materials. Lori will cover how to draw through observation of structure, features, and shadow patterns. She will also explain materials and techniques for handling color, color mixing, brushwork, and controlling edges. Other topics to be discussed will be understanding water-to-paint ratios, and how to control the medium when painting. In each 5 hour session, there will be a demo each morning with time for students to paint in the late morning and afternoon. This class is geared toward having fun, sharpening skills, and painting expressively in watercolor.
A materials list will be provided upon registration. Class is limited to 12 students.
